An open letter to Bekins...
Dear Bekins,
We've paid our bill in full, we've jumped through hoops to give you information that you should have had readily on your computers, we've been patient and not so patient, we've found your double billing mistakes and chased down refunds. We were expecting a call yesterday to confirm that, indeed, our vaults were being loaded on the truck yet we haven't heard from you.
You said that our things were loaded on the truck Aug. 1st...that was a bold-faced, unequivocal lie. When we called you on Tuesday, August 8th, you said you didn't know if our stuff was on the truck and perhaps it would be loaded that very day. You say that we can stay in a hotel on your dime and get 50% of our dining expenses back up to $125 a day until the truck arrives though we have to submit every receipt within 30 days and there is no guarantee of when or if you'll pay.
I'm tired of our boxes and mementos being stuck in limbo.
I'm tired of calling you daily for updates on your lousy service.
I'm tired of chasing you at every turn to get what is legally and rightfully ours, money and property.
The bottom line is this: Bekins, you have awful and disappointing service. For a logistics company, you should know exactly where my things are at any given second. You should live up to your so-called "estimated guaranteed arrivals" (side note: are "estimated" and "guaranteed" oxymorons?). You should not say what you think we want to hear, rather you should speak the truth. And, you should refund a portion, if not all, of my interstate moving bill.
Signed,
Upset and angry customer who will NEVER use or recommend Bekins again
